31-5-19 Oh Nellie, we are so glad you are here with us. Nellie is a most beautiful, placid and loving beagle with a sunny personality. She is very overweight at the moment.  She is a big, gentle dog who needs a lot of love and another dog in her new home to be her friend and role model to show her all about house training and encourage her to get moving around to help shift some weight. She weighs a wopping 28.7kg!! This is double what she should weigh so she needs a healthy diet and and gentle introduction to exercise...maybe a sponsored slim in support of Many Tears? She is a delightful girl with a wonderful character. Please help her.

18-06-19 UPDATE

Nellie has been with us for nearly 3 weeks and has come on so well. She loves her walks and playing in the yard and although loves attention, she always needs a minute before letting you go up to her and give her attention. Her tail wags but sometimes she still walks away.
She still has a long way to go but has started to shed the pounds slowly and I think she is enjoying her new walking and playing training plan. She loves walking so much she now blocks the gate to make sure she comes with you when you leave. She a such a lovely girl and each day you can notice her smiling as she gets happier with her life. She will still needs some patience as she settles in along with another dog in her forever home to help her understand how to live in a home and learn about house training.
If Nellie can be the beagle for your house, come and meet her and take her out for a walk, you will fall in love like we have.

10-07-19 UPDATE
Nellie is a beautiful girl who has come on in leaps and bounds since being in our care. She is very friendly and walks perfect on a lead. When Nellie first meets you she does act a little shy but after that she is fine. Nellie will also take a treat from your hands if you are quiet spoken. She will need another resident dog in her forever home as she does like to cuddle up and play with them. If you think Nellie is the one for you then please apply

25-07-19 UPDATE

This lovely girl has been with us nearly two weeks in foster and is such a good girl, she was a little shy with us at first but now she loves to be with us and have a good stroke. She loves to play ball in the garden with us or just by herself throwing it in the air and catching it on her own. She walks lovely on her lead although some people and noises can still worry her, she loves her walks on our beach when it's lovely and quiet.
This special girl came in very over weight but last weekend she achieved her goal weight of 17kgs this is enabling her to play zoomies in my garden although my flower beds can look like a rhino has charged through them but is so lovely to see this girl having so much fun for first time in her life!
Nellie eats her food gracefully and loves all my resident and foster dogs here but in the right circumstances we would consider homing her as an only dog as she is happy to be left on her own for reasonable periods and will sleep and walk without the other dogs as well.
Nellie has such a calm nature, oh how Nellie would love to be in her forever home, she would not disappoint you, she would need another resident dog or dogs just so they are around and can go for a walk with her to show her all is ok.

25-08-19 UPDATE
Nellie has now been in foster with us for a few weeks and is such a loving girl.  I cannot really understand how she has waited so long for her special forever home as she is so gentle, loves to play ball, walks lovely on her lead is clean day and night.
Nellie sits and waits patiently for all the other dogs to finish their food. She can still be a bit shy of new people visiting and prefers to watch from the garden at a distance but this is improving as her confidence grows. She sleeps downstairs without any problems and could be an only dog if the owners are home with her during the day and she would be their special girl  or she would be just as happy being with another dog or dogs.
She really is so special and she has done amazingly on her diet and is now happily running fast after her ball in the garden with her new super slim figure.
Nellie has waited far too long for her forever home, could you be Nellies new owner ? She is located in Norfolk near to Norwich

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

Although NELLIE is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover the costs that have been incurred. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
