If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

27.02.19 Rorry has come to us from a breeder as an unsold pup.  He is a scared little boy who is not used to be handled and goes very stiff in your arms.  Although he is really young at the moment we would prefer Rorry to go to a home where there is at least one other dog to help him learn people are not to fear and that they can be kind and loving.  This may change if he responds and becomes braver.  We are looking for a home for Rorry where any children are old enough to understand his fears and that he will not want to be picked up and cuddled.  Again this may change as this is all very new to him but he is not a normal happy playful pup so we are looking for a home where he can learn about all the things other puppies know.  Rorry will beed to be neutered at 6 months old and will need to attend puppy training classes.

05-03-2019 UPDATE
When Rorry went to see our vet he was found to have an ocular dermoid in his eye.  This was caused by hair growing in towards his eye.  This has been removed and he has a graft in this eye to aid healing.  This has to be removed in 6 weeks time so is something his adopter needs to bear in mind.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
