If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

24-2-19 - Phoenix is a little hand shy at the moment bless her. She is not overly scared but will need a little time to help that confidence come through fully.  Another dog is a must for her. She needs a helping hand on the lead and someone kind to show her about toilet training. She is seven years old and needs to spend the rest of her life in a home, feeling safe, secure, loved and included.

11-03-19 UPDATE
This is me in foster. I arrived yesterday and foster Mum says I am one of the most confident fosters she has ever had and she thinks I will be going to a new home very soon. I slept with Toweey last night as she is more scared than I am and needs a little help. Our foster Mum cooks chicken for us and it smells delicious . We have free access to the garden and go in and out when we like . I will let you know how I am doing real soon.

18-03-19 UPDATE
I am doing extremely well in foster. I am just a little scared now but can be picked up for cuddles and stroked and just loved. I love the other Schnauzers that live here and like playing chase with the older one who is 9 years old. Everyone that visits thinks I am a stunning little dog and falls in love with my calm nature. I am not a barker but I am a thinker and a watcher. I watch everything that goes on around me with great curiosity. I love my food and I sleep all night .
My foster Mum thinks I am lovely and will make a wonderful pet for someone. I would like to be homed with another dog or dogs that are similar size and nature to me. Another Schnauzer or Schnauzers would be great for me but if you haven’t got a Schnauzer but have a kind dog that would show me the ropes that would be fine too.
Please read up on my breed before you apply. I will need two good walks a day, a cosy bed to sleep in and committed owners that will continue my training as I am really quick to learn and extremely intelligent. In all I am simply lovely and my foster Mummy thinks I will be snapped up pretty soon.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
