26-01-19  Sorbet is a worried Cocker Spaniel who has come from a breeder. She is slightly bigger than usual for a Cocker but is absolutely beautiful. It is a shame that her size doesnt match her confidence levels and she will just shy away from us if we try to approach her at the moment. She does love a cuddle with other dogs and is clearly happiest around her canine buddies. She will need a kind dog or dogs in her new home to help her settle and show her new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead.  This gentle lady just needs time and patience to help her adjust to her lovely new way of life.

28-01-19 UPDATE FROM VOLUNTEER GROOMERS

Sorbet a beautiful girl who took being groomed in her stride - I think she enjoyed having her ears massaged and washed.

17-02-19 UPDATE
Sorbet (we call her Summer) has been in foster for a week now and what a beautiful lady she is. She eats well, sleeps with my dogs in the kitchen at night and is pure joy to have around the house. Summer is clean overnight and during the day she has access to the garden but even when I go out for a few hours she is clean in the house. She walks beautifully on the lead and loves to stop and sniff practically every hedge, bush or fence we come across as everything is so new to her.
Summer is gaining in confidence everyday. She is happy for new people to go to her gently and stroke her but she is not confident yet to go to them. This will take time and as she realises that human hands will not hurt her, her trust will grow. She is certainly loving being in a home with other dogs as she watches what they do and is trying so hard to play.
This stunning lady deserves to be in her forever home to enjoy being loved, with lots of home comforts, and being spoilt rotten. Could you be the home for her?

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
