If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

22-01-19 Nookie is a very sweet Maltese cross boy who has come to us from a breeder.  He is quite happy to be picked up and have a cuddle and loves to snuggle up  in bed with his kennel friends and so will need another dog or dogs in his new home to help him adjust to home life.  He will watch and copy them to learn new skills like house training and walking on a lead. He has the most handsome little face which will put a big smile on your face too. He has a bald patch on his back at the moment so will see our vet to help him with this. He has a passport.

12-02-19 UPDATE
I'd like you to meet Nookie who I've completely fallen for. An adorable soul who would steal your heart and take over your mind and all your thoughts - if you met him! He is so so SO gorgeous!
Nookie is a sweet, gentle, quiet boy, who takes a lot of comfort from his female friends. He gets on perfectly with every dog he meets though, whether they are male or female, and shares his kennel, food, beds and toys wonderfully. This is good news as Nookie will need to be homed with another more confident resident dog. I feel he would prefer a female forever friend, as he is much more happier and comfortable around them, and will take lead from his female furry friends, and, he does seem to be easily bullied by some male dogs, unfortunately. This obviously makes him exceptionally sad, and even more quiet than he can sometimes be.
Nookie is quite a shy boy, a little bit of a sad soul... We will sometimes catch him in his bed, sitting there with his head hung low ... pondering about life but he has the cutest face, just like a cherub, and the most beautiful, big, soulful eyes...we just don't get to see them often enough as he always holds his head low - as if undeserving of our love.
Noookie is suffering with a bald, sore tail, his bald back but he will see a vet soon about these things. He's clearly needing to recover both physically and mentally from his past life as an ex-stud dog. However, he is showing us brief glimpses of happiness. He will sometimes look up at us and wag when he hears a voice he recognises, or if we go in and see him. And he will wag a little when he's out and about in the sandschool! Despite having slightly stiff legs - he waddles from side to side - he can still manage to run around the sand school with his best friends! He is so so cute
As anticipated, Nookie is the last of his group of friends who arrived at Many Tears together... and is a little bit more of a sad soul than usual, bless him! We would love it if he went into foster this weekend, or even better - into his forever home with a group of lovely ladies! If you like the look and sound of Nookie - please apply - he is ridiculously cute, in need of TLC, and will bring plenty of joy to both you and your dogs! He's just so lovely!

07-03-19 UPDATE
Lovely Nookie has been in a foster home for 2 weeks now and has settled in really well and enjoying home life.
Nookie enjoys his food and gets on well with all the other dogs here. He is beginning to play with toys and his cheeky side is emerging!
Nookie is a beginner walking and takes his lead from the other dogs but he’s still unsure. House training is coming a long although he still has the odd accident and needs prompting to go outside.
Nookie has alopecia but this is beginning to grow back and he’ll be a handsome boy.
Nookie will need a little companion to cuddle and play with and can be rehomed with teenage children.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
