17-1-19 Lofty is your oh so typical ex stud Chhuahua Cross, he is unsure of people and much more comfortable with the company of dogs.  He is in need of a loving home where he can be touched gently for the first time and feel the wonders of a sofa! Once he relaxes he is going to love his new world being a pampered pooch, feeling secure, safe and loed for the first time ever. Lofty wil need a kind dog in his new home to be his friend amd show him new skills such as housetraining and walking on a lead. Please give this handsome chap a chance.

13-02-19 UPDATE
This little one year old boy is elegant-looking and gentle. He likes to sit near the fire or on your lap as he has now found that he loves cuddles. He also likes to sleep quietly on the sofa or in the kitchen at night. He is happy to be in a crate when we go shopping for a little while.
Lofty is happy to go for a ride in the car and will soon settle down. He is now learning to walk with his harness on and enjoying his little walks along the bridle path. He has been clean in the home and will follow the other dogs out in the garden when he needs to go.
With lots of time and patience he would make a loyal companion to some one special. Lofty looks like a Brown-and-Tan miniature Pinscher but is a Chihuahua cross. Our little Lofty is looking for his forever home with a special friend who will give him all the love he deserves.

30-04-19 UPDATE
Lofty is a little sensitive chap who does get worried around new people so will need patient owners in his new home, who have the time to work through this with him and help him settle into his forever home. Also he will need a home without young children as they overwhelm and frighten him. Once he gets to know you, he is happy to be with you and love cuddles.
He likes to lay beside you on the sofa having a snooze. Lofty has been clean in the home and sleeps all night without a sound. He enjoys his walk in the country side and wears a little harness with a long or short lead. He is happy to be pick up and put in the car crate and will settle down and travels well. Lofty eats well and is happy for us to give him a treat by hand.
He loves to learn new things and enjoys playing chase in the garden with his doggy friends. Lofty also loves his toys and squeaky ball and some times will run off and hide his ball in his bed. He has been very good with us and will make a beautiful loving dog for someone. So if you have a place in your heart and in your home. This is the little boy for you.

11-08-19 UPDATE

Lofty is a very handsome boy who has grown to over 16 inches (40cm) tall. He now likes to walk and run on the beach and bridle paths with his friends but is not happy to walk in traffic as this still frighten's him.
Lofty is like a Miniature Pinscher and many people underestimate the care, time, and effort needed in order to raise a this sort of dog. Lofty can be active, independent and energetic and will need a high fenced garden to run in as he could be a great escape artists. We do have to watch him when we are out as he does not do recall, so he now walks on a long lead but we are working on this.
Lofty is a lovely boy who would love a home with one other dog.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
