If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

January is a 5 year old male cocker spaniel. He is a nervous boy who is not used to being handled and will  need time, patience and cuddles to bring him out of his shell. January hasnt lived in a home before so wont know anything about housetraining yet or how to walk on a lead so he needs another dog in his new home to copy from and to guide him with these things. January is a handsome chap or simply needs a chance to settle and he will then begin to shine

12-02-19 UPDATE

January is an extremely good looking 5 year old male Cocker Spaniel who is coming along brilliantly here at Many Tears! He is now comfortable with people he knows well and will happily approach people to say hello! He also enjoys a fuss, especially a facial massage!!! He will sometimes jump up on his hind legs, hold onto your arms, and rub his head into your hands and gazes up at you with his kind eyes, his face all smiley!
He is so lovely! January is a happy boy, who loves all his kennel friends, whether they are male, female, bigger, smaller, confident, scared - he loves everything and everyone and is a very cool, easy - going, submissive boy. He will need to be homed with another more confident resident dog who will provide him with the dog company he is so used to and needs to further develop.
January LOVES to run around the sand school or play yard and you will often see him jumping and leaping about, playing with toys he finds. He has also started to play fetch....and he will drop the ball and nudge it with his nose closer towards you for you to throw it for him again.
He is so delightful, and quite a star to be honest! January is learning to walk on a harness and lead. He hasn't taken many steps yet, and it is clear it is something very new to him, but he will get there very soon! I would love to adopt a dog like January! He has such a lovely, kind, gentle temperament, gets on well with any dog, shares everything perfectly, and enjoys playing, but isn't obsessive over it. I think he's perfect if I'm honest.
P.S. the first picture shows January photo-bombing a selfie I was taking with Peaches the bichon! He is funny!

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
