If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

08-12-18 Jive is a handsome boy, who has come to us to find his forever home. Jive is very sweet, and loving, but does need another dog to live with in his new home. Jive would love to be someone's lap dog and will prefer his adopters to have lots and lots of time to devote to him. He is a little hand shy, and does need to learn about house training and walking on a lead but can learn this more easily with a resident dog to copy and lots of positive praise and encouragement.

01-01-19 UPDATE

Jive is such a lovely boy he is still here with us but I have no idea why! Jive used to be shy but now he lights up when you go to see him. Today Jive had a bath he was such a good boy standing Still the whole time I think being snuggled in a towel was his favourite part though.
We then went for Little walk in the garden which he really enjoyed he now walks great on a harness, so much so that I think it won't be long until he is confident on just a lead, Jive could go with a resident dog or in the right homw he could be an only dog. He really enjoys to be around people, having cuddles and giving little kisses if your looking for a handsome lap dog that enjoys nothing more than showering you with love then look no further Jive maybe the boy for you.

10-01-19 UPDATE

Jive, known as Jerry herehas been in foster with us for 5 days. He is adapting to home life wonderfully although the hoover is still a little scary and the coffee table is just something to stand on. He is happily living alongside 6 other dogs both male and female of differing breeds, shapes and sizes and is very respectable of their boundaries.
He is comfortable wearing a collar and harness and is walking really well on a lead happily meeting lots of other dogs as he goes. He eats his breakfast and dinner with our other dogs and whilst he is keen to check whether there are any leftovers, he is not precious or protective about food.
He travels brilliantly in a crate in the car for both short and long distances. He loves playing with toys and seems particularly pleased with himself when he has emptied the toy basket. He has asked our other dogs to engage in play but unfortunately they do not know him well enough to respond so he returns to occupying himself when playing.
Jerry has been fine being left for up to an hour with our other dogs and sleeps quietly in a crate in our bedroom at night. His toilet training is work in progress.
Jerry loves people and just wants to lavish you in kisses. He really is the sweetest, kindest, most affection little dog who truly deserves to be someones special boy. I think Jerry would love a home where he has company most the time as in his heart, he is really just a baby and would struggle being alone. He will also need someone who is happy to continue working on building his confidence as he still is very nervous of human hands coming towards him although he does his very best to be a brave boy.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
