If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

7-12-18 Wispy is an ex-breeding westie who greets you with a waggy tail but quickly loses confidence as you get closer. She will lay down and allow you to handle her but doesnt quiet relax yet so needs lots of cuddles to practice and enjoy being touched. She would need to live with other dogs to boost her confidence as she has never lived indoors so isn't house trained and doesnt walk on a lead. She alsoneeds a kind patient new human to show her love.

03-01-19 UPDATE

Wispy is a lovely little westie, still very shy but allows you to smooth her and pick her up,once she is in your arms she settles. she gets on with her kennel mates and is more confident around them hence she would need another dog in a home to help her figure her new home out. She is very gentle, doesn't walk on lead yet but allows you to put a harness on her and walk a few paces, so she'll be walking in no time. She will need a patient person to help her to progress. Up to now her life has not been the best, can you give Wispy the beautiful forever home she so deserves.

10-02-19 UPDATE

Wispy's first week in foster has gone well and she has settled really well considering she has never lived in a house before.
She is a sweet, gentle, shy small westie cross. She loves to be up on the sofa for a cuddle and likes to follow us around the house to see what's going on.
She happily goes in and out of the garden for toilet breaks and is now clean in the house but I would still expect the odd accident.
Wispy sleeps all night in her crate without a peep. She is a beginner on the lead and she gets excited when you put the lead and harness on but lacks confidence outside the house, however she is making progress.
She has been to the groomer and has a beautiful thick coat with a pale fawn colour stripe along her back. Wispy is looking for a home with a gentle dog/dogs to copy and a kind, patient family who will help her grow in confidence. Is really is a sweet little dog.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
