08-02-19 UPDATE
Trina has come on in Leaps and bounds since coming into Foster Care very pregnant and rather hormonal.  "Trinny" as she's known here is an incredibly sweet natured soul who is physically tired and mentally drained, although initially very calm around the resident dogs she carries a great authoritative air about her which youngsters respect but another older dog may react to.
Trinny had a big litter and her body bares the physical brunt of the tale. She's been under nourished, her legs are slow although she's very keen to walk and her tail wags. She attaches herself to what she perceives as her human very quickly and as long as she can see you're there she is happy to just settle in the same room.  Leaving her could potentially become a problem as she has started to clear baby gates to reach what she feels is "her" human if she feels she might be missing out.

I keep looking at my sofa to see if I have  space for her to stay forever but I don't.  Trinny is of gorgeous nature and will be a beautiful asset to any family wanting to invest the time and patience into a rescue lab and will give back ten fold in love. She's SO gentle and only eats until she's adequately full. Then sometimes she politely asks for seconds. She's NOT looking for a super fit and active home at the moment but it's not to say she won't get there fitness wise. Her mind is definitely willing love her.
Trinny sleeps well at night and house training is a work in progress but coming on.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
