If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

22-11-18 Shipley was brought into us to find his forever home as the breeder didn't sell him, he is a very glamorous shih tzu cross poodle boy.  He is a kind and gentle boy who has never been away from other dogs so at the moment we feel he will need another dog in his new home who he can copy and learn new skills like house training from, his new family will need to have lots of time, love and attention to share with Shipley to help him find his feet and settle in well. Shipley has possible hip dysplasia but we are monitoring this at the moment and will build up his exercise to build up his muscles and see of this will help.

18-12-18 UPDATE
Oh Shipley why have you not got a home to go to, my love? You are beautiful. Perfect. I love the way you are so amazed that us humans pay you attention and want to cuddle you. I love the way you are so humble about it too. I love the way you are so cuddly ... i could cuddle you forever if I could have another dog. I love the way you are so respectful and kind towards all your kennel friends. Especially to little Mr. Chiver - the most depressed cavalier I have come across. I love the way you are playful and try to get all the dogs to play - but none of your kennel mates want to!!!  So you sit right at the front of your kennel, on the cold hard floor, looking adorable and perfect, waiting patiently for one of those nice fun humans to come along to make your day a little brighter.
Today i gave you a pouff to sit on and you loved it! You're a great mate - and you make me laugh ALL of the time. Running around the sandschool with the large metal bin lid in your mouth ... looking so casual and if it is a perfectly normal thing to do. Well, I've never seen a dog do it before!!
I love the way you snuggle into my hand when I stroke your face. I love the way you settle when I pick you up for a selfie. I just love you!!!
You are so amazing. The most loveliest of boys and a true Star in the making.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
