If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

11-11-18 Rift is a gentle and sweet girl who greets you with a waggy bum but is still quite shy when you approach her at the moment.  She is inquisitive and sweet and is really keen to say hello she just isn''t always brave enough to bring herself to you.  We are sure she will come around quite quickly in her new home as she is eager to meet people and make friends she just needs that little push of encouragement to get the attention and love she wants to badly and truely deserves.  Rift would prefer to be the centre of attention in her new home  so we would home her as an only dog but we may contsider homing her with a larger male canine companion to help her learn house training. Rift does walk on a lead and will chase cats so needs a cat free home.

28-11-18 UPDATE
Rift is such a special girl who is ever so loving. She would love a home where she can live there on her own. She now walks lovely on a lead when it suits her, she can be very stubborn and normally i end up carrying her down the road and then she will run back as she just wants to get back as quick as she can to get in her comfy bed.
In the right circumstances she can be homed with older children as she does love all people. She is quite a fussy eater and prefers to pick at her dinner throughout the day. She is absolutely fine to be bathed and will sit there all day long to be groomed. She meets all dogs fine out on the lead and doesn't pull or react towards them, she just passes them beautifully.
Rift could possibly be homed with cats as she doesn't seem interested her, but we can't 100% grantee this. She loves nothing but to snuggle in her bed and will lay across your lap. If you are looking for an amazing companion to keep you company and to love you forever then get in touch.

16-12-18 UPDATE
Rift is super happy loving girl who loves people and teddies. Rift can't go with other dogs or cats as she will chase them. She loves duvet days a she very lazy bum but in the sand school she loves to play with you and chase and bounce around. I would recommend children over 8 yrs just when she does jump up she has power behind her.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
