If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

11-11-18 Jessy is a sweet young girl who wags her tail as you approach her kennel but is a little hand shy when you get closer to her.  We feel she will need another dog in her new home who she can copy and learn from such as walking on a lead and housetraining.  She is a very pretty girl with huge brown eyes that look at you full of worry, her new owners need to have lots of time and patience to work with Jessy on overcoming her fears and to show her how amazing her life can be.  Once she comes out of her shell we think she will be the type to love cuddling up with her people as well as her doggy friend.

18-11-18 UPDATE

Don't use out on Jessy - she is adorable.  She is great with really big dogs and spent the day with mine.   She has earnt how to win our hearts so don't miss out on this darling - you realy won't be disappointed.

20-11-17 UPDATE

Jessy is such a happy go lucky girl and she really enjoys all of the new experiences she's having with the staff at Many Tears so far. Until recently her roommate was Jelly but they are both making new friends now which is doing wonders for the chance of finding their own special person who can give them a chance at a better life.
It was a nice surprise yesterday to find out that Jessy has no problem walking on a lead and what might have been her first walk off sight was very much appreciated by her. The excitement was almost too much and she couldn't quite decide which direction had the best smells to explore. She was quite happy to lead me across the road every few seconds!
Jessy has improved drastically since her short time with us and gets on well with other dogs, including Boom Boom who is a high attention male pup that loves to play and be fussed over. Any sign of too much interest from him in her and she will sound a gentle growl to say in a friendly way, "back off please!". They both really enjoyed each other's company though and had a play around before the 3 of us settled down for a nap. She was more than happy as well for the little one to use her as a cushion buddy.
With Jessy's sweet temperament I'm sure she would suit most types of people. Those who already have a well behaved canine friend at home that she can learn from and those who are looking to adopt their first or only dog. She loves tender cuddles from her human companion and will happily share a bed with you :) Pay us a visit to come and meet her for yourself!

08-12-18 UPDATE

How this fabulous pup is still with me I will never know! Jessy really is perfect! She is clean in the house, superb with other dogs of all sizes both male and female, she loves to play, she loves her food, she adores cuddling up in bed with me and the other dogs.
Jessy is a high energy pup who is looking for an active family. She would like to live with another active dog who will be happy with her constant demands to play but she could also be rehomed as an only dog.
She walks beautifully on the lead, loves throwing her toys around and has proven herself to be a real asset in helping the more shy and nervous dogs to come out of their shell. She also loves tearing up newspapers! She enjoys cuddle time with people and loves to smother me in kisses to show how happy she is.
I have a dream of Jessy spending her first Christmas being showered with love and attention and gifts and treats in a home of her very own. She is truly a dog who will bring out the best in anyone, she is funny, cheeky, happy, loving.....she is truly perfect!

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
