09-11-2018 Duke is a scared, nervous boy a who has come to us from a breeder but we have no doubt he will blossom in time in the right home with lots of love and attention.  This  will help him overcome his fears and learn to understand people and the love we have to offer.  Duke arrived here very matted and had to have his coat shaved.  This will of course grow back but his new owners need to ensure he is cut and groomed regularly to ensure he remains comfortable and matt free.  Due will need at least one other dog in his new home for him to copy and learn from as he has never lived in a house before so will need house training and doesn't yet walk on a lead so this will need lots of practice and guidance.  Duke is such a handsome boy and deserves all the love and affection he can get.

07-12-18 UPDATE
Duke arrived into foster with me 5 days ago and has come on in leaps and bounds!  On the first day here he did snap at me out of fear, but has since then shown absolutely no aggression or dominance of any sort. He is a dear little dog and desperate for affection, although still a little hand shy and he startles at loud noises and sudden movements. He is very food oriented and is proving bright and easy to train. He is ok being picked up, although is initially very stiff until he knows that you mean him no harm. He has even fallen asleep on my lap, so was clearly very relaxed!
Duke is now walking happily on a harness and enjoying his freedom on walkies. He is clean overnight in a crate and 99% clean during the day. He is very sociable with the 5 other dogs I have here, both big labs and a little Bichon. He has shown no interest in my cat. Duke will need his forever home to have a kind and confident resident dog to help him settle into home life and owners who have the time, patience and love to give to this little boy to help him blossom into a wonderful doggy friend. Please apply for this gorgeous dog and let’s find him a forever home before Christmas!

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
