09-11-18 Chessy is an ex breeding girl who has spent her life in a breeding kennels until now so is quite overwhelmed by everything thats going on here.  She has settled in quite well here enjoying cwtching into her duvet and having a heat lamp.  Her adopterswill need to have lots of time and patience and another resident dog to help and guide Chessy with settling in and show her housetraining she will need as she has never lived in a house before. Chessy is going to have some great character when she learns to relax

08-01-19 UPDATE

Today I was lucky enough to be able to spend time with Chessy. To begin with, she was nervous and was cautious when approached by myself. However, it didn't take long before she was bouncing aroud my feet, and looking up to play with all the toys in the play yard.
Chessy loves to play with her kennel mates, and they love to run around the play yard. Chessy will need another dog in her new home, to play with and learn from. She has been here for a long time, and just needs to find her forever home already!!

19-01-19 UPDATE
Chessy is a beautiful happy waggly dog that is loving home life and all the comforts it brings. Whilst initially flighty can be easily picked up. She is loving her sofa cuddles tucked right into me in such a short time this is amazing progress. She goes in and out of the garden easily and the television is a great source of interest to her!
She's reactive to reflections and does bark but all these things are new to her. Gentle but firmly she is being discouraged from excessive barking. She settles at night and her house training is nearly there with the odd accident.
She’s mixing in a pack of 10 dogs without issues with the exception of an excitable young cockalier who irritates her. A similar size female fur friend would be ideal. Shes ready to find her forever family and is going to be a great family dog.

21-02-19 UPDATE

Chessy here! I'm still in foster in Bristol and although I am having a blast with all my fur foster brothers & sisters, all I want is a forever family to call my own. I'm still a little timid but I know my foster mum adores me. I love a cuddle, so I do allow her to pick me up and she smothers me with kisses so much my eyes close with delight. She tells me how lovely and such a good girl I am, which of course I know already.
I'm clean in the house and not an over barker although I do like to have a little Happy bark when I get excited! I need another fur friend who is calm and kind but playful as I like a little bit of rough & tumble. I love my food and after a little bark I settle in my playpen for a good nights sleep.
My coat is growing and if I say so myself I’m so pretty. I still need to work on some of my fears but I'm loving life and waiting for you!

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
