If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

31-10-18 Lacey is a  Bichon Frise who has come to us from a breeder.  She is a sweet young girl who gets very distressed without her doggy friends as she is scared and worried about the world.  However, despite her fears she is actually relatively easy to handle once eased into  a corner and gentle picked up.  Lacey settles once in your arms but is unsure about being touched so we would not home her with children as they would simply overwhelm this little soul.  Lacey will need at least one other dog in her new home who she can watch and copy.  This will not only help her confidence but also help her learn about house training and lead walking.  These things will not happen overnight but with time, love and patience they will come.

30-11-18 UPDATE
Lacey is a quiet, sweet girl who likes to chill out on her own a lot of the time. I have a large playpen in the kitchen and she likes to lay in there with the door open. She does enjoy venturing into the living room to join us in the evening. This afternoon she has spent curled up in one of the beds in front of the woodburner, so she's gradually becoming more socialised.
I have bathed, clipped and brushed her with no problem (her coat does need more attention) and she enjoys a cuddle if you pick her up. She's still worried about what is going to happen to her and so I've been taking things slowly.
She's still young and it is lovely to see her relax when she'll run around with a hop, skip and jump as though a weight has been lifted off her little shoulders!
She's clean in the house (has been since day one, although she needs reminding) and clean all night. She sleeps in the playpen with my 3 other fosters. She loves her food, treats and toys.
If someone is willing to give her time to progress further, Lacey will be a lovely little dog.

13-12-18 UPDATE
Lacey is progressing well.  She now spends a lot more time with us and enjoys playing with my other fosters.  She loves her walks and trots along with you without pulling.  During these walks, she has met other dogs and people and is gradually becoming brave enough to greet them.  She's such an easy little dog to look after, very undemanding.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
