If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

16-10-18 Dellie is a 3 year old ex breeding Beagle, who has come to us to find her forever home. Dellie is a friendly girl, who already walks well on the lead but will need house training!  Dellie is a little over weight so will need to attend weight watchers and get some exercise which will help her regain her figure so will need to be gradually built up to having longer walks.   Dellie loves to play with other dogs, so will need another dog or dogs to live with. Dellie has never lived in a home before so her new owners will need to have the time and patience to help her settle and adjust but she has a lovely soft and gentle nature and in time will be a wonderful friend

07-11-18 UPDATE

Dellie is such a friendly girl wagging her tail at everyone but she doesn’t trust strangers right away, she does like attention and will then come to meet you especially if you have a lead ready as she loves going out. She is slightly nervous when you reach out but she does allow you to put her lead on. She walks on a lead relatively well with a little pull as she sniffs out her surroundings. She came to us a little overweight so we have been working on weight management by making sure she eats the right amount and is getting out for plenty of exercise. She is happier with other dogs, so will need another dog in her new home to help her adjust and learn all about housetraining as well as continuing her healthy eating plan with regular exercise. As she gets along with all her room mates, she can easily be homed with any dog. Dellie is worth meeting and seeing as pictures just don’t show her character which is lovely but a little shy.

16-01-19 UPDATE

Dellie beagle has had the most wonderful week in foster, she’s been running round the garden and loving a warm bed. She’s now on a biscuit kibble that’s light and her food is weighed out on the scales and you know, she’s losing weight already and looks amazing compared to her last ‘big’ photo.
It won’t be long before we can do the before and afters. Dellie is a really gorgeous sweet natured little beagle, she loves to be cuddled by everyone in the house and jumps up next to you on the sofa for her cuddles, loves children and men alike.
Dellie has been to a beagle meet where she met lots of lovely people and beagles and had really great time running about the field. Dellie is little beagle with a big tum and even bigger heart, her tum will get smaller but her heart will just get bigger. What a Beauty! x

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

ADOPTION DETAILS - DELLIE IS BY DONATION

Although DELLIE is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover the costs that have been incurred. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
