16-10-18 Purdy is a very pretty Beagle. As an ex breeding dog Purdy is quite shut down and submissive.  She is a friendly girl and enjoys being in the kennel with her dog friends but once she is taken away from them she goes quiet and shys away from people.  Purdy will need another dog in her new home who can help her settle in and guide her with her housetraining and accepting people and affection. In time she will truly bloom

31-10-2018 UPDATE

Purdy is progressing very well here at Many Tears! She is so happy when she sees people she knows well coming along and she will jump up on her hind legs and wag her tail! Greeting them by resting her two front paws on the humans legs and dipping her head in for cuddles! She really loves having fuss. She is a very gentle, very sweet, submissive lady indeed.
When we are around her, her face always seems like she's smiling! But just recently, when there are no humans around, she seems sad and her facial expression is full of sorrow as she snuggles into herself in her bed :(
She walks well on a lead, and loves sniffing around! She will even approach people she doesn't know on walks to say hello, despite her tail often being under her body. She loves playtime and going out into the sandschool. She often likes to be carried to her play yard so she can have extra cuddles! But most of all...Purdy loves food! She really loves her food! She shares her beds and toys perfectly, but will try and eat everyones dinner, although she is not at all aggressive about it! She is just a typical food obsessed beag!
Purdy will need another dog in her home. She gets on well with all dogs no matter their breed/sex/age/personality. She is currently kennelled with bichons, but maybe she'd like another beagle in her forever home? Purdy is a beautiful soul, a real special kind little lady who will become your most loving, loyal lady. What are you waiting for? You know you want to! Purdy is an exceptionally easy dog to work with too!

29-11-18 UPDATE

Purdy is such a friendly and happy girl, so I really can't see why she is still waiting here for her forever family. She walks lovely on a lead, gets on well with her kennel mates, loves cuddles and is very well mannered in general. What more could anyone want?

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

Although PURDY ^^ is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover the costs that have been incurred. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
