If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

21-09-18 Frizzles is a 4 year old female exbreeding Pug. She is a  very nervous girl who doensn't understand everything that is new and changed around her right now but soon will. She has never been beyond her breeders so all this change must be overwhelming. She has never lived inside so doesnt understand housetraining and doesn't walk on a lead. She will need a kind resident dog to copy, follow and learn all these new things plus a special someone who can see Frizzles beautiful soul and the cheeky personality waiting to come out.

30-11-18 UPDATE

Frizzles is a long legged pug, with a happy outlook on life. She is walking well on a harness around houses with a small amount of traffic, she doesn't mind the traffic but as people go by she will sit and wait or sneak by them.
Frizzles gets along very well with all of the dogs here and does not react to other dogs or cats when she sees them. She sleeps quietly at night and is clean in the daytime. Frizzles is not a good traveller, but I'm going to start taking her on very short trips in the car, little but often, to desensitize her. Frizzles is beautiful in every way!

03-01-19 UPDATE

Well my wish didn’t come true, I waited for my new  family,  so I was on my best behavour  as usual, playing quietly, sleeping quite a lot, sitting nicely for treats.  Foster Mum has been a bit poorly so we have been helping to undecorate the Christmas tree.. Foster Mum didn't seem as  pleased with us as she shouted something about  too early!!! Ah well back to occupying myself now where did I leave my bone….

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
