30-06-18 Adele is a 1 year old cross breed who has been rescued from a kill shelter in Portugal. She is a bit timid which is understandable as she has had a very long journey to come to us. She is unsure of lead at the moment, but if you approach her kindly and gently she is fine to be handled. Adele will need to have another dog  in her new home to reassure her and show her new skills such as hourstraining and other indoor skills. Adele is a sweet quiet girl, she needs someone with time and patience to bring her out of shell. She hasa passport.

25-07-18 UPDATE

Adele is a beautiful looking and beautiful natured 1 year old female Podengo, who was taken from the streets of Portugal and put into a killing shelter because she did not have a family who wanted her or a home to call her own. She was then sent all the way over to Wales to find her forever family and home.
When she first arrived at Many Tears, she was very scared indeed...She did not want to be handled, cowered, and felt the need to protect herself. Once she realised she was in a safe, happy place, and that no harm was going to come to her, she started to come around. She watched her more confident kennel friends make friends with the kennel staff, and she slowly but surely started to reach out to us human beings aswell! She will now happily approach us, gaze up at us with such kind, loving eyes, with a smile across her face, and accept a fuss! She is comfortable being handled too. She also walks wonderfully on a lead, and gets a little excited by the thought of going out into the Big Wide World on a little walk, explore and adventure.
Adele is ever such a sweet girl. She is very gentle, slow, mild mannered, calm, and quiet, unless it comes to playing with her fellow doggy friends! She then becomes slightly more outgoing and animated! She loves to play tug with a toy or a blanket! And she will happily play wrestle and chase her fellow doggy friends around the sandschool! Adele LOVES to play, and would love to be homed with a more confident resident dog who is as equally kind but equally playful too!

Adele gets on well with all her doggy friends whether they are female or male, bigger or smaller than her. She shares her beds, food and toys wonderfully. And she is currently on 3 meals a day because she is a little underweight. She is also pretty kennel clean too!
Adele is a very popular little lady amongst the kennel staff, and everyone is so pleased at the progress she has made. Whoever adopts this lovely little girl would need to be aware that she may be scared of her next step in life (being adopted by people she doesn't know;  a new dog to make friends with; going into a home environment in a new surroundings), but if she is shown some understanding, given some time and patience, she will blossom soon enough! She might take a few steps backwards before she makes even more steps forward. but it won't take her long!
Whoever adopts our little Adele is going to be so lucky, as she is such a lovely little treasure.

17-09-18 UPDATE
Adele has settled in easily to home life. She craves affection and loves cuddles from anyone that comes in the house. She will happily take treats from your hand and is very gentle when she does so. Adele would love a home with her own humans to cuddle all day long. She needs a kind resident dog in her new home as she loves to play with the resident dogs here. In particular she loves our daughter's visiting pug! Adele really is a sweetheart and it puzzles us all why she has not yet been snapped up! If you think you can offer Adele her forever home then please do apply for her. Someone recently said the Adele likens to the Maneto dog breed but who knows what is in this lovely Portuguese lady.

01-12-18 UPDATE

Adele is loving home life and loves her routine here with the rest of the pack. She plays lovely with our larger border collies and is definitely the fastest when it comes to the zoomies. She walks lovely on a lead and wants to follow the larger dogs. Adele will be there to greet you enthusiastically if we have been out for a little while. She is clean during the day and through the night. Why this little, gentle, loving and quiet lady is still available we just don’t know. Adele just LOVES playing and cuddling and it wanting a family to call her own.
