06-02-19 UPDATE
This is Humphrey. He is a GSD cross and he needs such a special home
He is a nervy boy who worries all the time. He cannot cope with strangers or unexpected people suddenly in the home. He does not read other dogs well and is fearful and when over excited he can become snappy with other dogs
He needs a very calm home with a dedicated person to help him learn to live his life to the full. To be loved and love in return...And to become a kind obedient well rounded friend.
He needs someone who will not give up on him. Someone who can see his potential but some one who can keep him safe.
He is all but a pup but in those informative months was not helped. Once in our hands he was a confused chap. He did go to a very good home but they felt him to be unpredictable and not a dog to be homes with another
He then went to a fantastic foster home but could not cope with the excitement levels of the other dogs in the home and it brought out the worst in him, and he did not move forwards

Please only apply having read all this at least twice! His life would be in your hands and he must not be let down.
My first walk with him was uneventful and easy, thus he can be a great dog
Tomorrow I will walk him with others also walking dogs and  see what happened.

ADOPTION DETAILS
The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
