Hurry – Growing Braver Every Day

Hurry is a gentle, intelligent girl who has come such a long way since arriving in foster. Hurry originally came to us from a breeder and was a bit overwhelmed to begin with as everything was new and a little scary. However, she has recently moved from the kennels and into foster and with a little love and patience, she’s learning that the world isn’t so frightening after all.

She’s now fully housetrained and walks beautifully on a lead without pulling. She even ignores other dogs she does not know on walks and is not easily distracted, but will greet them politely with a gentle sniff and a tail wag when approached.

Hurry has started to learn about animals other than dogs and has shown some interest in the cat, but has not chased so she could be homed with cats as long as they are dog savvy. Hurry loves the garden and sniffing in the grass, though sudden noises can still startle her. Hurry seeks out gentle fuss and finds great comfort in the company of other dogs, so she'll need a kind resident dog in her forever home to help her feel safe.

Hurry is still shy with visitors and prefers the quiet of her crate, but every day she grows a little more confident. With the right home, she will continue to blossom into the happy, playful girl she’s meant to be. Hurry has a travel documents.

Hurry's Diary

  • Hurry has been in foster with me for three weeks and, although nervous, she is doing really well and is a very kind and gentle dog. She will approach cautiously for a fuss. She is interested in the cat but has not chased her but is very excited by the rabbits and guinea pigs! She is completely housetrained trained and walks really well on her lead, without pulling. She ignores the other dogs in the park and walks past but if a dog does come right up to her she will sniff it and greet it politely.

She is anxious when anyone visits and puts herself in the crate where she lays quietly until the visitor has gone. Hurry sleeps quietly in her bed in my room at night and, during the day, she can be left with the other dogs without a problem if I have to go out. In the garden, she will bark if she hears an unexpected noise such as people walking past on the pavement the other side of the fence but as she becomes more familiar with her environment this is happening much less. Hurry needs an adult only home with loving owners who will be rewarded by watching Hurry blossom into the happy, playful girl that she will undoubtedly become.

  • Hurry is a gorgeous girl that has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. Hurry is very sweet, and just like a typical Poodle, she is very smart. Hurry already walks on a lead quite nicely but may need some additional help with confidence while walking as she may get a little spooked from loud noises like cars passing. Hurry will gently approach you for a fuss and doesn't mind being handled, but relies on her kennel mates for comfort so she would need a kind resident dog in the home to look to for support and a confidence boost.

Hurry has not had the chance to live in a home just yet so she may need her new family to be understanding as she learns new skills such as house training and all of the other skills that will help make her successful in the home. Hurry is such a great dog and just like her name, is in a Hurry to get out of the kennel and into your garden and on your couch. Hurry has a travel documents.
