I'm very shutdown and will need a family with ex-breeder experience to help me settle

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe but I haven’t met cats yet so I'm not sure

I’m frightened and will need a secure garden to learn about being outside.

  • Out and about requirements

Walks are too scary for me, maybe some slow garden sniffs will be a good start.

  • Training needs

Please be patient with me, I'm nervous and learning everything from scratch.

  • Medical issues

I’m fully vaccinated and spayed, ready for my forever home!

14-02-25 Maisie originally came to us from a breeder and her journey since then has pulled on our heart strings. Maisie arrived as a shut-down, frightened girl, struggling to trust the world around her. She was adopted for a few months, but sadly, she was returned when her fears proved to be too overwhelming, leaving her unable to interact with the other humans and even dogs in the home. Right now, Maisie isn’t sure about people or the love we’re trying to give her. It’s devastating to see a dog so shut down that she won’t even find comfort in the presence of another four-legged friend. We don’t know what she’s been through, but whatever it was, it has left her deeply unsure of life, and we are determined to show her just how kind the world can be.

Maisie needs an adult only home with kind, patient adopters who understand ex-breeding dogs and are willing to let her heal at her own pace. She has spent some time in a home but will need continued guidance with house training. Walks and loud noises may still feel overwhelming, so for now, a quiet garden where she can simply exist, observe, and start to trust will be just what she needs.

Maisie’s progress won’t happen overnight, but with time, patience, and unconditional love, we believe she will slowly start to find her way. If you have the heart to take on a dog who needs understanding above all else, Maisie is waiting for someone to show her that she is finally safe.
