11-03-25 This handsome looking man is Pongo, we think he is a Spanish Mastin cross and he has made a very long trip to be here with us. Pongo was living in Spain and ended up in a Spanish pound. We are told that he had lived in a home but had been removed from his owners by the authorities due to cruelty. Pongo's chances of getting out of the pound were slim, but kind volunteers stepped in to help and contacted Many Tears to see if we could take him. Pongo is now here looking for his second chance. Pongo is a wise looking boy, who happily watches the world go by calmy, he is very easy going and just happy for you to be around him. Despite his past, he is so very loving and wonderful to be around. Pongo can already walk beautifully on a lead but will need patient adopters to help teach him house training as he may need reminders of this. Pongo can be an only dog in the right circumstances or he could be homed with with other doggy friends. He is affectionate with other dogs and while he hasn't met any cats here yet, we are told he was fine around them in Spain. Pongo will need some time to adjust to house sounds such as the TV and hoover, as he may have never heard these before. Pongo is going to make a great companion and can't wait for someone to give him all the love that he has always deserved.

Pongo has travelled from Spain and has received negative test results for Brucella Canis, Leishmania, Heartworm, Anaplasma and Ehrlichia. He also has a passport.
