Hiccup

21-02-25 Hiccup is an older boy who has come to us from his breeder ready to find his perfect retirement home. He is a scared boy who is quite overwhelmed at the moment and very worried about human interaction and will flinch when you touch him. Hiccup will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home, where he can settle in at his own pace and get lots of love and kindness. He loves curling up in a cosy bed under a heat lamp, so we think he is going to adore having some soft beds in front of a warm radiator in his new home. Hiccup is quite the foodie and so we think food and treats are going to be the way to his heart! Hiccup will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in his new home to be his friend and companion. He has never lived in a home before so his adopters will need to be kind and understanding while he settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. He has also never worn a lead or harness before and so will need to learn all about this, first around the home and garden until he is brave enough to go for a gentle potter down the road. It's so sad to see a dog of Hiccups age here and so we really hope his forever home find him as soon as possible as we cannot wait to pack his bags and wave him off to his perfect happily ever after.
When Hiccup arrived, he wasn't keen on his face or ears being touched, but he has since had a dental where he had 29 teeth extracted, so he may become happier about being touched once he is out of pain.
