Tawny, a gentle and shy Beagle, came to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She was initially overwhelmed to find herself here and she found comfort in her kennel friends, relying on them for confidence. She will be looking for a calm and quiet home, where there was another kind resident dog to be her friend and help her to settle in. She has never lived in a home before so will need kind and understanding adopters as she learns about home life and new skills like house training.

Tawny has began to learn all about lead walking and walks well on a harness, although she is still quite nervous at first and will need more practice with this, but we don't think it will take too long for walks to become her favourite part of the day (after food time of course!) Tawny loves treats and will take them so gently from your hand.

Since arriving, Tawny has made incredible progress and we would consider homing her with older, dog savvy children who have experience with dogs and will understand that she needs time to settle in. Beagles are pack dogs, bred to bond with their family. Tawny has never had the chance to feel that connection - but it’s not too late. Please, let’s not let her wait too long. She deserves a home. She deserves love. She deserves a family to call her own. Could that be you?
