  • Human family requirements

I can live with dog-savvy teenagers who understand me and know I'm a bouncy boy

  • Other pet requirements

I could be an only dog or live with others, I'm easy! I've haven't met cats.

  • House and garden requirements

I’m active and would love a large, secure garden to let off steam.

  • Out and about requirements

I love my walks, but I am very strong on the lead so need some training.

  • Training needs

I walk on the lead nicely however I will need a crash course in house training.

  • Medical issues

I am a little on the cuddly side and the vet told me I could do with losing 10kg.

19-02-25 Shinka is a big, bouncy bundle of love who has come to us from a breeder in Ireland, ready to find his forever home. He is quite confident and so he could happily be homed as an only dog in the right circumstances, as long as he gets plenty of love and attention. Shinka's an energetic and sweet boy who will be looking for an active home. He's like a giant teddy bear, who enjoys his walks - but he is very strong on the lead and will need strong owners who have the experience to guide him. Shinka has never lived in a home before, so will need help with toilet training and adjusting to household sounds like the TV and hoover, but he is easy to handle and eager to learn so in the right home he will flourish. Due to his size and playful nature, if Shinka were homed with children they would need to be older, dog-savvy teenagers and experienced in how to interact with big, lively dogs. With an active and patient family, he will thrive and become a fantastic, affectionate companion. If you're looking for a fun-loving, cuddly dog to join your home, Shinka could be the perfect match! Shinka has a travel document.

Shinka is a little overweight at the moment and our vet would like him to lose around 10kg, but with a good diet and exercise regime he should manage this in no time!
