Dove

When Dove arrived with us from a breeder, she was a very worried girl who would run away from you as soon as she saw you. She hadn't been socialised with humans much and found us very scary. Dove moved to a foster home and within a week really started to blossom and come out of her shell. Dove really relies on other dogs for comfort and so will need another kind and confident dog in her new home to be her friend. She has been following the resident dog in her foster home around and has even started to play with them with her little tail wagging! She is getting used to home life and is taking to toilet training well and is starting to do most of her business outside. She has made so much progress in such a short time and is now happy to take treats from you and was even brave enough to have a groom.. and doesn't she look beautiful! She isn't quite confident enough to walk up to you for a fuss just yet, but she will come close enough to lick your fingers and so with lots of love and kindness she will soon start to come out of her shell even further. She has been loving the sun and enjoys laying in the garden having a little sunbathe. Our vets have noted she has has a right luxating patella. This may improve with gentle exercise and as she builds up muscle, but this is something that may need treatment in the future and would not be covered by insurance. She also had 10 teeth extracted at the time of her spay and has been treated for a ear infection. She has a travel document.
