Kass

Kass was a once worried girl that came to us from a breeder and wouldn't allow you within 3 ft of her. She would stick to the back of the kennel, hiding behind her kennel friends and hoping she would go unnoticed. Now, Kass has found herself in foster absolutely smashing milestones and proving to be the resilient and affectionate dog we were hopeful for her to become. In just a few months, Kass has gone from being completely terrified of humans to allowing a gentle fuss. She is still a little weary of being picked up and handled and will initially run away from you still, but with patience she has slowly learned that when her foster mum handles her she just may receive a fuss or a belly tickle - which she enjoys. Kass is learning things such as how to walk on a lead, but may need additional encouragement to help build her confidence on walks. She is also learning from the other dogs in the home how to be clean inside of the house, and what it means to be a happy and loved dog. Kass has made strides and vast improvements in foster, and will need at least one kind resident dog in her forever home she can continue to lean on and learn from. She will also need her new adopters to be gentle and encouraging and allow her to build the trust at her own pace. We are hopeful that with continued gentle encouragements, Kass will open her heart and learn that she can become the happy dog she is meant to be.
