Zorilla is so adorable, once comfortable with her people/person she is super cuddly and happy. In foster she is making good progress. She is pretty much fully house trained and will take herself outside if the door is open. She is really starting to get a grip on lead walking, she will need continued patience and training to really master it but is doing great. She has fantastic recall when off lead in a secure field. Zorilla has met the cat and there was no reaction at all from her. She could potentially live with cats with careful introductions. Zorilla is starting to get braver as her confidence grows, it’s lovely to see her progress from being such a scared girlie in the beginning. Zorilla has so much love to give, I hope her people find her soon.
Zorilla

Zorilla has come such a long way from the shut-down little girl who first arrived with us. Originally very frightened of people, she’s grown into a cheeky, affectionate, and lovable little soul once she feels safe. In the beginning, she was too scared to be handled and would let you know when she was overwhelmed—but with patience, kindness, and a steady routine, she’s now happily snuggling on the sofa and greeting her fosterer with the most joyful, wiggly happy dance each morning.
She’s doing incredibly well in her foster home—she’s almost fully housetrained and will take herself outside when the door is open. She’s also making good strides with lead walking and has fantastic recall in a secure field. Zorilla has even met the cat in her foster home and didn’t bat an eyelid, so she could potentially live with a confident cat with slow introductions.
Zorilla still needs a calm, adult-only home with adopters who understand she may need time to trust—and may show her "spicy" side again in the early days of settling in. But once she’s bonded, she’ll be your shadow, your cuddle bug, and your little best friend. She is happiest with other dogs and absolutely adores her best friend Zenarda. These two are completely bonded, and we’re looking for a special home where they can stay together.
Zorilla’s transformation has been amazing to witness, and with the right home, we know she’ll continue to thrive. She has so much love to give and truly deserves the peaceful, happy life she's learning to enjoy.

Zenarda and Zorilla arrived in foster almost 2 weeks ago. They were initially quite nervous but are now much braver. They both love snuggles on the sofa and enjoy strokes and fuss from people they know. They get very excited to see me in the morning and Zorilla does the most wiggly happy dance! They are clean in the house with regular garden visits and sleep quietly downstairs with the other dogs. They have been practicing wearing their harnesses but are not yet lead walking.
They get on great with all of my dogs, they are inoffensive and have great ‘doggy manners’
These girls are non destructive and are ok being left for a couple of hours. Whoever adopts them will need to brush and comb them regularly to keep their beautiful coats comfortable and tangle free. They are good to groom, laying there like they’re enjoying a day at the spa! I hope that Zenarda and Zorillas people find them soon, they are so lovely and so deserving of their happy ever after. -
My precious little angel Zorilla may be very worried of new people and therefore needs someone who can handle her spicy side, but once she bonds with you, she is incredible!! She tries to stick to me like glue and comes running when I call her. She's a prime example of a 'once they give you their heart, it's all yours' type of dog. She is doing okay on her harness but this will be an ongoing confidence thing, the world will be a scary place for a while. She adores Zenarda and does follow her lead a lot of the time. Zorilla is great with other dogs and hopefully she'll start living life as the pampered little princess soon.

What a difference some TLC can make! When Zenarda and Zorilla (smaller) arrived, they were so overwhelmed and worried about everything. They'd curl up in a corner together and didn't want to acknowledge humans. Zenarda was very easy to handle but Zorilla would give you warning snaps if you went to pick her up. This all changed when they started to bond with me and trusted that I wasn't going to hurt them. As you can see from the videos, they are real little love bugs when they know you, but they are still wary of new people. Zenarda is braver and will ask other staff members for a fuss pretty quickly, but Zorilla takes her time to trust. They are good with other dogs of different sizes and they do adore each other, so we are hoping that they'll get snapped up quickly as a pair. They will need a resident dog who will show them the ropes of home life, they do try very hard to be kennel clean here, so that's a good start on their journey to being house-trained. These little girls have totally captured my heart, I'm so obsessed with them and am incredibly proud of how far they've come already, but their new home will need to understand that it will take time for them to trust their new humans and Zorilla may be a bit tricky to handle at first in her new surroundings and humans.

Zorilla is a very scared girl that has come to us from a breeder and does have her PETs travel documents. She is very scared of humans at the moment and can be a bit tricky when being approached, so slow and gentle movements are encouraged until she is able to settle in. Zorilla really loves her friend Zenarda and so we would love to home them together if possible. If she was homed without Zenarda, she will need a kind resident dog to rely on for support and guidance as she settles into her new home, as she lacks confidence at the moment. Since Zorilla has not had a chance to live in a home, she will need to learn new skills such as house trainings and how to walk on a lead. Zorilla will need an adult only home free of resident and visiting children as she can panic when she is uncomfortable and in a stressful environment. This girl really does break your heart as you can just feel and see how scared she really is. Zorilla will need a home that has experience with ex-breeding dogs and their reactions and stressors. We are hopeful with time patience and some TLC, Zorilla can learn to trust people and go on to live a stress free and happy life!
