Freckles is a sweet but nervous little lady that has come to us from a breeder and originally was very weary of us humans and didn't want to be handled. She has since moved to a foster home where she is settling in well and starting to build up confidence - even choosing to approach her fosterer and sit on her lap for a gentle fuss. She is still easily spooked by humans but is coming along so well and has even started to play with toys!

She loves the other dogs in her foster home and will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to be her friend and help her adjust to her new life. Before moving to foster she had never lived in a home so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. She will be best suited to a calm and quiet, adult only home where she can settle in at her own pace.

Freckles is such a sweet girl and in the right home she is going to truly thrive!

  • Freckles is now in a foster home and doing very well. She is still a very nervous girl but is building in confidence. She has started coming up to me and settling on my lap but is still spooked easily by humans. She gets on very well with the other dogs in the home and often goes to them for support. She has recently started playing with toys, which is very sweet.

  • Freckles was very scared girl when she first arrived and didn't want to get out of the van but we can already see she is starting to relax a little and allows us to handle her if we are calm and gentle with her.
Freckles has come to us from a breeder. She has never lived in a home so will need a calm and quiet adult only home with at least one kind resident dog to be her friend and help her to settle into her new life. Freckles would like a dog who she can cuddle up to if she wants to so it's essential her new friend(s) will allow her to share their beds.
Living in a home will be quite scary at first and she needs time and patience to help her learn about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. These are things which may take her a while to pick up as the garden may be a scary as the house at first so her adopters need to have plenty of patience and love to help her learn and be sure she is comfortable walking on a harness and lead in the garden before taking her for a walk in the outside world.
