Oakley is a truly wonderful soul who has come such a long way on her journey. Originally arriving from a breeder, she had never experienced kindness, home comforts, or even the outside world. Understandably, she was absolutely terrified, flinching at touch and struggling with every new experience. However, thanks to patient and understanding care, Oakley has made incredible progress.

She now enjoys her time in a secure field, where she runs happily and even greets some visitors with a wagging tail. At home, she thrives on routine and has grown to love her comforts. However, Oakley is still an extremely sensitive and fragile girl. Sudden changes, new experiences, or too much pressure can send her into full panic mode. She has not yet been able to walk out in the big, wide world, so she will need daily access to a secure field where she can run and feel safe.

Oakley Needs:

• A very experienced, adult-only home with minimal visitors.
• Owners who have worked with very nervous dogs before.
• At least two kind and confident resident dogs to support her.
• A very secure home and garden to keep her safe.
• Owners who are willing to go at her pace and understand her fears.

Despite her fears, Oakley is gentle, kind, and sensitive. She is happy most of the time but can still have overwhelming moments of panic. Her adopters must be prepared for a long journey of trust-building and have the patience to let her grow in her own time. With the right home and love, Oakley will continue to blossom, and the reward of seeing her gain confidence will be truly special.
