Fernando is the sweetest boy. Once he's comfortable with you he's always looking to you for guidance and of course fusses. Although he can be a little wary of people he doesn't know, he will still allow them to give him a fuss and say hello, I try and walk him around the front of the rescue everyday so he has the chance to meet different people and get used to a slightly busier area so he knows it's not so scary. Fernando walks well on a harness and really enjoys going out for walks or to the big yard, he gets so excited when you go into his kennel and he sees you have a lead in your hand. He is the gentlest soul, as stated he can be a bit nervous of new people but please be patient with him, I guarantee it'll be worth it. He absolutely loves his food and treats, especially squeezey cheese so that might be ideal for you to use when it comes to house training. He is slowly starting to grab the concept of fetch, sometimes he'll run and get the ball but won't always bring it back to you and other times he looks at you confused as to what you're doing and what you just threw, either way he just loves spending time with people he knows and trusts. He'll definitely be the kind of dog who'll curl up next to you on the settee after a busy out exploring.

Mr Fernando continues to do really really well. Once he knows you and trusts you, he is utterly obsessed with you. He wants your company, love and affection as often as he possibly can get it. I'd describe his cuddles as that he is trying to literally climb under your skin, there's just not enough fusses in the world for Mr Fernando. Fernando has now been on 2 walks up the road and although cars can spook him, he recovers very quickly and gets back to sniffing and wagging like nothing ever happened! He's got bags of energy, but also loves to chill under the heat lamp (providing there's nothing going on that he could be missing out on!) Fernando has been to see the vet to be neutered, and I can confirm that he still does not like to be "formally handled", but he's getting better with this every day! He's fine having his harness and lead put on, providing he comes to me rather than me cornering him. He really does not like to be cornered. Fernando is a super super smart, gorgeous, special boy who is sooo ready for his next steps and the start of his forever. He is exceptionally toilet clean in his kennel and I think this would transfer easily into a home, and he loooves his toys! Fernando needs an adult only home with no visiting children, and he'd love to have a girl dog to go home and learn all about home life with!

Fernando is a worried boy who has come from his breeder to find a loving home. He is a shy chap at the moment and needs some TLC. He is hand shy but if you go slowly and gently with him he settles. He is an active boy despite his fears and will need a home with plenty of walks once he is able to. He will be looking for an adult only home.  We don't think it will take him long to settle if he has a kind resident dog to follow and show him how wonderful his new life can be. Fernando is a sensitive soul who needs some careful handling with an experienced adopter. He has so much potential he just needs the right adopter to support him and help him out of his shell. He will need to learn all about house training and how to walk on a lead. He is  flighty so will need a safe and secure garden and adopter with good common sense and experience with scared dogs.
