  • Human family requirements

I need a quiet, adult-only home so I can explore my environment at my own pace.

  • Other pet requirements

I rely on my foster siblings for comfort, I will need a doggy sibling in my new home

  • House and garden requirements

I'm trying to be brave but the world is scary, a secure garden would help me.

  • Out and about requirements

I am too scared to go out for walks right now and will need a careful introduction.

  • Training needs

I need to learn house training and lead walking when I'm a bit more confident.

  • Medical issues

I’m fully vaccinated, spayed and ready for my home full of love (and treats).

Opal is a worried girl that is still learning about compassion and trust but she is having such a hard time accepting love. Opal has come to us from a breeder very shut down and shy, however, gentle and curious. Opal is currently in foster, where she is able to learn about basic house rules, noises and experiences that may set her up for success in her new home. However, kind humans are still a foreign idea to her and she finds comfort in the resident dogs in the home. Opal will need a gentle and calm resident dog that will allow her to lean on them for support when she is overwhelmed, and a cuddle at night for bed time. She will also need a quiet, adult only home where she can continue to understand trust and companionship and a home that will give her gentle pushes on building her confidence at her own pace. Opal is one of our very special souls that really needs a whole lot of love, kindness, support, and a great deal of patience. Opal has a good heart and we know there is a lovely little dog inside of her timid exterior. We just need to find that truly special person who can give this lady the loving home she deserves.
