Meet Dragon:

Dragon is a spirited and intelligent young terrier who is looking for an experienced, dedicated adopter to help him continue his training and enjoy an adventurous life together.

Originally rescued from the pound after being found tied up and abandoned, Dragon has had a whirlwind start in life. He was briefly adopted but returned due to some behavioural challenges, including resource guarding and protectiveness over his people. Since then, he has been working with staff and is now in a foster home, where he’s showing incredible progress!

Personality & Training:

  • A high-energy boy who loves learning and exploring new environments
  • Very smart and quick-witted – he picks up training fast and enjoys mental challenges
  • Enjoys company and bonds deeply with his people but requires structured introductions to new people
  • Great on lead and learning commands like sit, stay, and wait
  • Loves toys! He enjoys a good game but also benefits from enrichment activities like sniffing games and climbing obstacles

Other Pets:

  • Can live as an only dog or with a well-matched companion pending introductions
  • Not suitable for homes with cats or small animals due to prey drive

Ideal Home:

  • Adult-only home (no children, including visitors)
  • Experienced dog owner with knowledge of terriers or a willingness to learn
  • Active lifestyle – he thrives with variety in his walks and adventures
  • Someone who understands decompression time and is patient with settling-in periods

Why Dragon?

Dragon is a fantastic, fun, and loyal companion for the right home. He needs structure, guidance, and enrichment, but in return, he will be an incredible best friend. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic terrier to join you on life’s adventures, Dragon could be your perfect match!
