Owl -Looking for a Patient, Experienced Home

Owl is a sweet but timid girl who has made incredible progress in foster. Once frozen with fear, she now confidently follows her foster family around the house, recalls to her name, and enjoys life with other dogs. She needs a calm, confident canine companion to help her feel secure.

She is fully house trained, sleeps soundly in her crate, and is very happy with her predictable daily routine. While she still does not like being touched, she has slowly learned to trust and will sit nearby, taking treats from the hand when other dogs are present. Any handling (for vet care for example) must be done gently with a towel, as she can panic and may bite if scared.

Owl is spayed and vaccinated and has had treatment for ear hyperplasia in the past, had a dental with 1 tooth removed and has had both hind dew claws removed due to frequent injury.

Owl thrives on structure and patience, she’s vocal when she wants something which is lovely to see in a once so shut down dog. She needs a calm, adult-only home with owners who respect her space. She bonds deeply with other dogs, and will flourish in the right environment.

She’s come so far and just needs someone to accept her as she is and let her continue to bloom at her own pace.

Can live with other dogs
