Homer

Do you have a decent size and secure garden? A kind resident dog who is longing for a friend to play with? A kitchen full of tasty treats and a home full of patience and love? Well then Homer just may be the guy for you! This amazingly sweet boy has come out of his shell so much in the kennels and even though his confidence is improving daily, we can't help but think he would thrive so much more in a home. Homer is still pretty weary of us humans, but with time spent, yummy treats (of course), a garden to play in, and a furry friend by his side - Homer turns into the confident lad that he is striving so hard to be. Homer was recently kenneled with four female Beagles who adopted him into their Beagle clan, and he fit right in. Homer doesn't judge a dog based on size or sex, he only cares if they can keep up with him in the play yard! Homer may just be one of the happiest dogs at the rescue, and considering he came to us from a breeder, it is so refreshing to see a dog show such courage and resilience regardless of his past. Homer is currently working on harness training, and although some days are better than others, with time and consistency we believe he will settle right in. Homer will need a kind and playful resident dog he can look to for a cuddle and a nap or a run around the garden. Although Homer may have some deep rooted fears that we may never understand, with time, patience and a home to call his own, Homer will thrive.
