26-04-25 Chico is a very handsome young puppy who has come to us from a breeder. He is a truly beautiful boy with a wonderful nature, and he is now searching for a very special home to call his own.
Chico walks a little abnormally and seems to have some weakness on his back end. We suspected that he may have some hip or leg issues and referred him for x-rays which our vets have reviewed. At this time, there is nothing of note presenting on the x-rays. However, potential adopters are very welcome to have these x-rays forwarded to show their own vet for further review if they wish. We have also included a video of him (and his brother with a similar issue) walking below.
Due to this, Chico will need a home with adopters who are prepared to continue monitoring him as he grows. Should he require any treatment in the future, his new family must be committed and financially able to provide this. It’s important to note that any issues relating to his hips or legs would be classed as pre-existing conditions and would not be covered by insurance.
Chico doesn’t let his differences hold him back. He’s a bright, happy boy bursting with love. He’s looking for a home where he will be treasured and supported, whatever the future may bring. He is confident enough to be homed as an only dog as long as his adopters were around most of the time, but could also be homed with another kind dog who wouldn't mind having a cheeky little puppy running around after them. We would consider homing him with dog savvy children.
Like all puppies, Chico will need to attend puppy socialisation classes and his adopters would need to agree to have him neutered at the appropriate age as per the adoption agreement.
