20-04-25 Darling Cedric came to us from a breeder in very poor condition, suffering from a condition called puppy strangles. When he arrived, his skin was sore, swollen, and incredibly uncomfortable.. but despite everything, this brave little soul remained cheerful, affectionate, and full of love!
Puppy strangles is not contagious and while its cause is unknown, many puppies respond well to treatment. We’re so happy to say that this has been the case for Cedric. He’s made a wonderful recovery, his skin is looking much better and the vet is now happy for him to begin his search for a loving forever home.
Cedric is confident enough that he could be adopted as an only dog in the right home as long as his adopters had plenty of time for him. He could live with other kind dogs as long as they wouldn't mind having a cheeky little puppy chasing around after them! We would also consider homing him with dog-savvy children who are gentle and respectful.
Like all young pups, Cedric will need patient adopters who can help him learn about house training, walking on a lead, and all the other big things that come with growing up. His adopters will need to take him to puppy socialisation classes and agree to have him neutered at the appropriate age, as part of our adoption contract.
Cedric is a very special boy with a huge heart and a bright future - he just needs the right people to give him the love and life he so deserves.
