  • Human family requirements

I need an adult-only home where I can feel safe and loved.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a resident dog to help me feel safe but I haven’t met cats yet so I'm not sure

  • House and garden requirements

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

Walks are too scary for me yet, maybe some slow garden sniffs will be a good start.

  • Training needs

Please be patient with me, I'm nervous and learning everything from scratch.

  • Medical issues

I’ve started my vaccinations and will be spayed before adoption.

18-04-25 Salty has come to us from a breeder and is a truly scared and shy little girl. She spends her time tucked away at the back of her kennel, quietly trying to make herself invisible. When you look into her eyes, it’s utterly heartbreaking, there’s so much sadness and confusion there, it’s hard not to feel moved.

Salty doesn't yet understand kindness or safety, and gently shrinks away when approached. What she needs now is time, patience, and lots of TLC. A calm, quiet, adult-only home will give her the space she needs to begin to feel safe. She has never lived in a home before, so all the usual sights and sounds will be completely new and quite overwhelming at first. She will need help learning house training, and walking on a lead may be far too scary for her right now. A secure garden to potter in and take gentle sniffs is the best place for her to start.

Salty will need a kind and confident resident dog to help her feel more secure and to show her the ropes. With the support of gentle, compassionate people and a canine friend by her side, we truly believe she can begin to heal and, one day, learn how to enjoy the world.

Her journey may take time – but the reward of seeing her learn to trust will be immeasurable.
