  • Human family requirements

I can live with dog-savvy teenagers who understand my needs.

  • Other pet requirements

I could live with other dogs or be an only dog but I haven't met cats yet.

  • House and garden requirements

I’m still shy, so I will need a secure garden while I get used to my new home.

  • Out and about requirements

I’d enjoy one or two quiet walks a day once I am settled in my home.

  • Training needs

Please be patient with me, I need to learn lead walking and house manners.

  • Medical issues

I have started my vaccinations & I am spayed.

16-04-25 Dora has come to us from the pound after being found wandering as a stray, and it’s clear from her body and eyes that she’s had a very hard start to life. She’s been named Dora the Explorer as she was out in the world alone, but we hope she’ll never have to be alone again.

She’s a truly beautiful little lady with the most heart-melting eyes and a gentle, soulful nature. It’s likely she has been used for breeding far too often, but somehow, she still just wants to love and be loved. Dora adores gentle affection and gives the softest kisses, she really is such a special girl.

Dora is good with other dogs and would be happy to live with a kind, calm resident dog who can help her settle into home life. She could also be homed as an only dog, as long as she’s given lots of time, patience and love. She may also be able to live with kind, older, dog-savvy children who will respect her space as she adjusts.

She’s never known the comforts of a real home before, so she’ll need her adopters to help her gently learn about house training, routines, and what it means to be truly cared for. Dora does walk nicely on a lead and wouldn't mind quiet walks in her new home, and would love a garden where she can relax.

Dora is a quiet, loving soul who deserves a home where she can finally rest, feel safe, and begin the next chapter of her life surrounded by kindness. She’s waited long enough.
