Lucky

02-04-25 Lucky has come to us from a home, but due to his owner’s ill health, he and his doggy friends were brought into our care. This adorable boy is easy to handle but understandably overwhelmed by all the changes and what he really wants is to be back in a cozy home where he feels safe and loved.
Lucky has moved straight into a foster home, where he is settling in well and seems to enjoy human company and likes a gentle fuss. He loves his canine friends and so will be looking for a home where there is another kind and confident resident dog to be his friend.
Lucky is missing one leg, as you can see by the photos. He does have a little paw where a leg should be, but he does not use it and it does not seem to bother him and he gets around well. He is the most playful and happy little soul!
Like a true Chihuahua, Lucky dreams of a life of luxury - warm blankets, soft beds, and plenty of snuggles. He has a heart of gold and just needs the right home to help him settle in. He’ll need an adult only environment where he can take things at his own pace. Although he has lived in a home in the past, he may have a few accidents at first so his adopters will need to be kind as he refreshes his memory with house training.
Right now, walks might be a bit too scary for him, so he’d love to start with gentle sniffing adventures in the garden before building up his confidence. With love and understanding, Lucky will thrive in a home willing to give him a lap to rest on and plenty of patience.
